Are you interested in counseling but don’t know how or
when you can fit it into your schedule?
Are you comfortable with email and/or video conferencing?
Then online counseling may be right for you!
Online sessions are conducted via secure and encrypted email or
video conferencing. Therapeutic email exchanges allow you
to send me detailed information about your situation, taking time
with your words and concerns. I will return an email with feedback,
suggestions and recommendations. Email can provide meaningful
time between exchanges to reflect on responses.
Video counseling is also available for those who are interested in
online counseling but who want an alternative to text-based counseling.
And either or both of these may be combined with face-to-face counseling,
depending upon your needs and desires.
Benefits of online counseling
Flexible Scheduling Options- Choose email or video conferencing
or a combination of the two.
Convenient- Schedule and conduct a session from your home or office.
No Commute- Save time and gas!
Anonymity - While I know who you are and I verify your
identity, text-based psychotherapy via email provides a sense of
anonymity that may allow for easier disclosure. Even video conferencing
can feel “safer” than traditional therapy because you are not in the same
room as your therapist.
These are only a few of the obvious benefits of online counseling.
With ease in scheduling and the ability to conduct sessions from home,
people who might not ordinarily seek out counseling can now benefit.
For people with disabilities including mobility issues, online counseling
is a perfect solution. For people with busy schedules and long days,
online counseling offers an alternative. People who live in rural communities
will find online counseling a beneficial resource. Now technology can provide
people with access and choice.
